A Few Misses, But A Solid Effort With A Few Gold Tracks - All is a curious little creature as far as modern punk bands go, and Mass Nerder is a prime example of that, with a few absolutely brilliant tracks mixed in with some terribly forgettable ones. Until I Say So and Refrain are the sorts of sincere, heartfelt and sharply melodic songs that really good punk bands should be writing, and Honey Peeps, in my opinion, is one of the best punk songs that you can t help but smile to. And Think The World and World s On Heroin are your stock-standard witty, melodic pop-punk songs that are impossible not to like. but then the rest of the songs... I ll Get There, Silence, and oh god, Romantic Junkie - they really shouldn t have bothered with them at all. but hell, i d pay the full album price just for Honey Peeps, so really, the rest of the songs are bonuses!
My first ALL disc. Good stuff. - All s first album on Epitaph two years after the Descendents reunion album Everything Sucks , which is a great pop/punk record(man I can t wait til the new one on FAT). Mass Nerder is an awesome disc probably as good as the last Descendents album.Mass Nerder is strong release to the funny opening track World s on Heroin to the amazing saddened closing track Silence . Chad Price is a strong singer and has a country sound to his voice, which I think is cool. His songs that he writes are great along with Bill and Karl. Stephen co-wrote a few songs too. I can t decide which All tackles issues in politics(not so mush on this album), idiots, problems, the classic Beatle s influenced girl songs all of us love, and more! All just may be one of the best bands ever, but that s just me and I ve been told I have the worst taste in music ever.
Short, Powerful Burst of a record. Excellence in its Brevity - This is one of my top 10 albums of all time. A must for ALL and Descendents fans and an excellent first album for a newbie! It was the first ALL album I ever purchased. Contains not only songs that Descendents faithful will enjoy but also some of the greatest punk-romance songs ever. Is punk-romance a word? It is now. Anyway, check it out Vida Blue, Think the World, Honey Peeps, and the perfection that is Until I Say So. You won t be disapointed with this record. Also try Pummel.
Another great album by ALL - This is one of my favorite albums at the moment. I wouldn t say i was exactly a hardcore music fan but i m pretty close and i know good music when i hear it. All really are a great band. It s such a shame, and the few reviews for all show this, that they are so little known or just not liked. they deserve fame much more than other punk wanna-be s such as green day (a truly terrible band whos songs all sound the same). Anyway, my favourite songs on the album are fairweather freind , life on the road and silly me . If u like bands such as offspring, millencolin and bad religion then check this album out. If this review makes just 1 person buy this album or atleast lets someone else hear off all, then its worth it.
ALL s best - Mass Nerder is my personal favorite album of ALL s, mostly because of the very catchy melodies in pretty much every single song. Chad s voice is a perfect match as well. My personal favorite songs on the albums are I ll Get There and Silly Me, but every song is equally as creative and catchy. This is a definite buy for any true punk fan.
